Spairo analyzes your disk on your Mac and nowhere else. This page explains the little data we do handle, and why.

Last updated: October 2, 2026

  • Your files stay on your Mac. No file names, paths or contents are ever sent to us or to anyone.
  • No account, no analytics, no ads. Neither the app nor this website tracks you.
  • We only handle data when you buy, activate a license or write to us, and only what that needs.

1. Who is responsible

Spairo is a product of Craft Lab, SLU (NIF B42627893, VAT ESB42627893), Calle Leonardo Da Vinci 12A, Nave 8, 03203 Elche, Alicante, Spain. We are the data controller. For anything about your data, write to info@spairo.app or use the support form.

2. The Spairo app

What stays on your Mac

Scanning, classification, duplicate detection, cleanup and the cleanup history all happen locally. Full Disk Access, if you grant it, is used only to measure your disk on your own Mac. The app has no telemetry and no crash reporting to us.

Update checks

The app periodically downloads its update feed from spairo.app. As with any web request, our server sees your IP address and the app and macOS versions in the request. We do not use this to build profiles.

License activation

If you activate a paid license, the app sends our server: your license key, an anonymous identifier for the Mac (a salted SHA-256 hash of its hardware UUID, which means nothing outside Spairo), the Mac’s name and model, its macOS version and the app version. We store this to count the Macs using each license and to show you that list in Settings. The app refreshes the activation every few days; you can release a Mac at any time from Settings›License.

3. When you buy

Payments are handled by Stripe on its own checkout page. We never see or store your card details. From Stripe we receive your email address, your country, what you bought and the payment reference. We store your email, plan, license identifier, purchase and update dates, and the Stripe session reference, and we email you your license.

4. When you contact us

If you use the support form or email us, we receive your name (if you give it), your email address and your message, and use them only to answer you. The form is delivered to our inbox by email; it is not stored on the website.

5. This website

spairo.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts; it only remembers in your browser that you closed the legal notice (see the Cookie Policy). To protect the API from abuse, our server keeps IP addresses in memory for a few minutes to limit request rates. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address with it.

6. Who processes data for us

ProviderWhat forData
StripePayments and receiptsPayment and billing details, email
ResendSending license emails and support messagesEmail address, message content
RailwayHosting the website, API and databaseLicense and activation records, technical logs
Google FontsServing the website’s typefacesIP address, browser details

We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

7. Why we are allowed to use it

  • Contract: delivering your license, activating it on your Macs and providing updates and support.
  • Legal obligation: keeping purchase records for tax and accounting.
  • Legitimate interest: preventing fraud and abuse of licenses and of our servers, and answering your messages.

8. How long we keep it

  • License and activation records: for as long as your license exists, so you can reactivate it whenever you need.
  • Purchase records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Support messages: for as long as needed to resolve your request and any follow-up.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner; we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

9. International transfers

Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it does so under the safeguards those providers offer, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

10. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict its use, or object to it. Write to info@spairo.app from the address the data relates to and we will answer within one month. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to the authority in your country.

11. Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date. If the change is significant and we have your email, we will tell you.
